1988年獲中文大學一等榮譽學士學位,並得法國文化部獎學金赴法短期遊學。1989年首次個展於台北,蒙美國肯薩斯大學美術史教授李鑄晉為文推介。1990年加入香港現代水墨畫協會,參與各地之藝術展覽活動。1995年得台灣教育部獎學金,入台中東海大學美術研究所水墨創作組。1997年獲台灣東海大學藝術碩士學位。1999年承香港漢雅軒畫廊代理繪畫作品。現居台中從事專業創作。
李君毅曾於台北三原色藝術中心、台中市立文化中心、北京中央美術學院畫廊、多倫多博藝支舍、台中東海大學藝術中心、台北羲之堂、北京紅地藝術中心、香港沙田大會堂及漢雅軒舉行個人畫展,並先後參與各地聯展六十餘次。作品為香港藝術館、中國江蘇省美術館、台灣藝術教育館、英國牛津大學愛殊慕蓮博物館、香港萬玉堂及漢雅軒畫廊等收藏。
Biography
of Lee Chun-yi
A native of Shandong
province, Lee Chun-yi was born in
Taiwan in 1965. Lee moved to Hong
Kong with his family in 1970 and was
educated in Hong Kong through University.
He started with biochemistry at the
Chinese University of Hong Kong and
was encouraged by his mentor, Professor
Liu Kuo-sung, to switch to fine art.
He graduated with first class honour
in 1988 and received a scholarship
from the French Cultural Ministry
to visit France. His first solo exhibition
in 1989 in Taipei was honoured with
a catalogue essay by Professor Li
Chu-tsing of the University of Kansas.
Lee was awarded a scholarship by the
Taiwan Government to study at the
Graduate School of Fine Arts of Tunghai
University in 1995. He obtained his
M.F.A. degree in 1997. Lee has been
a member of the Hong Kong Modern Chinese
Ink Painting Association since 1990.
He currently lives in Taichung and
is represented by Hanart Gallery in
Hong Kong.
Lee Chun-yi has held
solo exhibitions at Triform Art Gallery,
Taipei; the Taichung Municipal Cultural
Centre, Taichung; the Gallery of Central
Institute of Fine Arts, Beijing; the
Friendship Multicultural Centre, Toronto;
the Arts Centre of Tunghai University,
Taichung; Red Earth Art Centre, Beijing;
Shi Jr Tang, Taipei; the Exhibition
Gallery of Shatin Town Hall, Hong
Kong and Hanart Gallery, Hong Kong.
He has taken part in over 60joint
exhibitions locally and internationally.
His works are in the collections of
Hong Kong Museum of Art, Jiangsu Art
Museum, the National Taiwan Arts Education
Institute, the Ashmoleam Museum of
Oxford University, Plum Blossoms Gallery,
Hanart Gallery, etc.
